What I'm up to now!
My time at the YMCA of silicon valley has been all about leading and executing strategic, brand-aligned social media content that drives measurable growth and engagement across platforms while supporting a mission-driven organization. It highlights scaling audience reach through data-informed content optimization, trend-driven creative experimentation, and executive-level storytelling that amplified leadership voice and community impact. The work centers on turning YMCA programs, member stories, and initiatives into compelling, high-performing content that increased visibility, participation, and connection across Silicon Valley.
REal people, incredible stories.
The YMCA of Silicon Valley is expanding access to hands-on STEM education by integrating Silicon Valley Tech Academy programs into its youth offerings, bringing topics like robotics, climate science, and computer programming directly into after-school and enrichment programs. This integration ensures more young people โ regardless of background โ can explore future-ready skills in trusted, community-based spaces. Renamed the Dana Carl Ditmore Silicon Valley Tech Academy, the program reflects a shared commitment to innovation, equity, and preparing the next generation to thrive in a technology-driven world.
๐๐ Every child deserves to feel safe around water. Children with autism are 160x more likely to drown, and drowning accounts for 91% of deaths among autistic youth under 14. Thanks to families like Jason and Lucas โ and supporters across our community โ the Y is expanding Safety Around Water for neurodiverse youth, offering no-cost, adaptive swim instruction that builds confidence, skills, and life-saving awareness.
